Subjects Taught
Gifted Education

I graduated from Valley High in 1976.

From 1999 to 2000, I attended Southern Union where I was a member of an honor society called Phi Theta Kappa.

In 2001, I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

In December of 2002, I graduated from Auburn University with a Master's Degree also in Elementary Education.

Before teaching, I was a stay-at-home mom for almost 20 years.  During that time, I was a parent volunteer and later worked as a substitute.

This is my 11th year teaching.  I work at three schools:  Loachapoka, Beulah, and Wacoochee Elementary Schools.  It is strange to have to think about which way to turn out of the road every morning, but I enjoy seeing the different methods used at the various schools.

  • I am married with 5 children.
  • We live on a farm with two dogs, two cats, and 14 cows.
  • We grow much of our own food including corn to be ground into meal.
